The two-day event attracted the participation of about 500 guests representing French political circles, businesses related to cuisine-tourism, restaurants, hotels, French chefs, and the community of Vietnamese people in France and some European countries.

The “Vietnamese Cuisine Day in France” will include performances and introductions about the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine in association with localities which have UNESCO-recognized heritages.

This is the first time the Department of Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO Affairs coordinated with the Association of Vietnamese Chefs to select and introduce some dishes that are the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine.

The program aims to preserve and honor the values of Vietnamese culinary culture, promote Vietnamese culture and culinary culture to the world, and teach Vietnamese youth, specifically the second and third generations in the community of overseas Vietnamese, about national tradition, cultural identity and cuisine.

It is expected to attract more visitors to localities which have UNESCO-recognized heritages./.
