The northern province of Ninh Binh is the only locality in Asia named among the world's 10 most welcoming regions this year at the 11th annual Traveller Review Awards of travel site Booking.com.

In July 2022, Ninh Binh was listed by Travel + Leisure among the 12 coolest Asian film locations to visit. The U.S. travel site credits the listing to the province being a filming location for the 2017 blockbuster "Kong: Skull Island."

Ninh Binh, 90 kilometers southeast of Ha Noi, has rich potential in cultural and spiritual tourism. It also boasts a charming natural landscape and many unique and amazing caves. Ninh Binh is home to the ancient capital of Hoa Lu during the reign of the Dinh Dynasty (968-980).
