Defense Minister inspects MR3

General Ngo Xuan Lich, Defense Minister, led a mission of the Defense Ministry, visited Military Region 3 (MR3) on December 3.

The Defense Minister was accompanied by Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister.

After inspecting the construction progress of the military region’s new headquarters and other facilities, General Lich was briefed on the unit’s achievements in implementing military-defense missions in 2019.

Regarding their future missions, the general asked MR3 to seriously ensure combat readiness, strictly observe duty regulations, closely follow local situations, maintain military discipline, and carefully prepare logistics for both regular and unexpected tasks.At the meeting, General Lich highly valued the region’s task performance, adding that the chains-of-command and Party organizations of MR3 should continue to raise the troops’ political stance and sense of responsibility in conducting assigned tasks, address all problems in the region, and focus on building strong defensive areas.
